X-PLAN dIII SERIES AREA-CURVIMETER:
This is a new model of the popular (X-PLAN d) series Area-Curvimeters. It is the first planimeter product that has adopted a large graphic LCD to make messages particularly obvious. Explanatory menus appear on the large display in conjunction with arm movement, so that conditions such as scale factors may be selected or set easily. In addition, up to 9 measuring conditions sets, which differ with each drawing, can be stored in memory for later use. The ARC key to define an arc outline, scaling which is based on reference distances included in drawings/maps, a printer (option) and such new features are now available.
Measuring functions: area, length of line Standard Units: mm, cm, m, km Special units: in, ft, mi, ac, User specific Scale setting: ratio input or manual scaling Measuring keys: POINT (straight line),CONTINUOUS (curve), ARC (arc), CANCEL Totalizing: Accumulation, Average, Number of times, Unit conversion Auto calculation :Auto unit conversion, Auto closing, Auto numbering Calculator function: Memory, Complete display of calculation process (print) Others :Saving and referencing of conditions used in the past Display : 128 x 64 dot matrix graphic LCD Measuring range: Vertical: 38cm (380dIII) 46cm (460dIII) Horizontal: 200cm Resolution : 0.01mm Accuracy : ‹0.1% Tracer lens: Large-sized eccentric lens Power : Rechargeable NiH battery Charger : AC100V/120V/220V 50/60Hz 3VA Time of continuous use : Approx.100 hours/10hour recharging (can be used while recharging) Dimensions (body) : 334x162x47mm (380dIII) 380x162x47mm (460dIII) Weight (body) : 880g (380dIII) 930g (460dIII) Dimensions (case): 414x198x66 mm (for both models) Accessories : AC charger, Gauge template, Case, Operational manuals Options : Detachable printer, Thermal roll paper

When the mouse mode switch gets pressed, the movement of the tracer arm and the rollers leads to that of the displayed messages, up and down, right and left. Functionality is similar to operating a mouse to make selections.
Large Eccentric Tracer Lens for easier viewing The unique eccentric lens provides the operator with easy, strain-free viewing even while sitting down.
ARC Switch for easier circle/curve defining The Arc Switch is extensively available even in Centroid, Rotational Solid and Contour-based Volume measurements.
Affine Coordinate Transformation for adjustment of distortion In general, 2 or 3 known coordinate points should be enough to define the necessary coordinate system. When significant distortions need to be taken into consideration, however, a maximum of 25 known coordinate points can be input so as to make the Affine Transformation (Least Mean Square used).
Save and Recall Function for measuring conditions sets Number 1 to 15 are used to combine different measuring conditions in a set. Using those numbers, a maximum of 15 sets can be kept in memory for later recall. This storage function does not suffer from deterioration of the battery.
Unit Selection: Automatic Unit Shifting Available are 16 length and area units such as Metric and English systems, some old units and user-specific units as well as 4 angle units. As measurement values grow, large units will automatically be employed.
Coordinate Marking Centroids and center points of arcs as measured results, arbitrarily input coordinate points, and computer-specified coordinate values can be marked on drawings in the Marking Mode.
Free Scale Ratio Selection There are two methods for determining pre scaled measurements: having the X-PLAN “memorize” the reference distance (s) given in the diagram, or entering the scale ratio(s) of the diagram. Actual measurements are obtainable even when vertical and horizontal scale ratios differ.
Measurements Results Accumulation and Averaging Functions Measurement results can be accumulated and/or averaged using +Skey.
Various combinations of values can be calculated with the + - x ÷ and M keys. These functions are available even at the scale input displays.
Continuous Usage: 50 hours or more (without mini-printer used) The X-PLAN runs for 50 hours or more without recharging after being fully charged. The remaining power indication appears on the display so that unnecessary recharging, resulting in shortening the life of the battery, may be avoided.
