PLANSCAN - FLATBED CARTOGRAPHIC SCANNER

One pass color flatbed scanner for media up to 841x600mm in size

 

Geometric parameters:

  • The Scanner provides a high optical resolution, which is 400dpi (60µm)

  • Root mean square error of scanning does not exceed ±100 µm. The value of root mean square error is determined by scanning and measuring the control grid.

 Radiometric parameters:

  • Scanner is equipped with s SONY color linear CCD-sensor and a light source based on a fluorescent lamp: components that provide quality of output images

  • Controller of the CCD-sensor provides an internal 12-bit storage for intensities within each color channel that is transformed by hardware into 8-bit output

  • Scanner provides scanning of both color and black & white materials and the scanning software stores output as True Color (24 bit) or gray scale (8 bit) image files

  • The scanning software automatically detects optimal vales of exposition, contrast and gamma for each color channel

  • Scanning time for a 600x600 image in True Color mode at 400 dpi resolution is 10 minutes

  • Scanning time for a 600x600 image in grayscale mode at 400dpi resolution is 4 minutes

 Scanning software:

  • Supports scanning into TIFF, BMP and DIP formats where the pixel size is a multiple of CCD pixel: 60, 90, 120, 180…480 µm

  • Contain a powerful unit for correction and transformation of output images

  • Works in Windows family operating systems

Basic cartographic engine supports:

  • Multimedia maps containing vector, raster and OLE-data

  • Support for high resolution satellite images and Orthophoto

  • Unlimited list of layers that define the appearance of the object

  • Unlimited number of object parameters (database fields) and a possibility of placement their values on the map as captions

  • Customized libraries of vector cartographic symbols that contain ordinal, linear, and other type of symbols

  • Changeable order in which layers or single object are displayed

  • WYSIWYG mode: the map is displayed on the screen just as it will be output on a printer, plotter, to raster file
